Online Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
I offer face to face CBT online, using the Zoom platform. It's simple - once you have decided to work with me, I'll send you an email, containing a link. You just need to click the link at the appointment time, and I will begin the session - there's nothing for you to download and you don't have to sign up to Zoom yourself!
Video conferencing isn't as uncomfortable as people often presume:
- we can see one another, so non-verbal communication can be picked up as well as what is being said
- we can write on a shared whiteboard, which you can then save to consolidate your learning and work between sessions and for future reference
- if you choose, you can record each session for the same reasons
- it's convenient and works across national and international boundaries of geography and time!
That said, it is not suitable for all people or all conditions - if it is not working for you, we will discuss this early on and plan an alternative way forward.
Prior to the first session, I will email you some simple technical advice about how we can optimise the quality of the Zoom call.
