Dr Anita Goraya - Cognitive Behaviour Therapist
Professional qualifications
I obtained my CBT Diploma with Distinction from the University of Oxford. This includes specialist training in Complex Cases and in Psychological Trauma.
I am accredited with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP). This signals the 'gold standard' expertise of a CBT therapist and assures the quality of therapy being offered.
I am also a Fellow of the Royal College of GPs. This is awarded as an honour and a mark of achievement, in recognition of a significant contribution to General Practice. This was awarded for my work in medical journalism/writing, professional leadership and long-term physical conditions.
Particular interests
I work with people who have diagnosed or suspected ADHD and/or who are experiencing depression, anxiety, burnout or any kind of trauma (including occupational). My clientele are typically established professionals or businesspeople. Having worked in both the NHS and a corporate environment for some years (as Director of Healthcare Consultancy at Ernst & Young) , I am attuned to the occupational stresses that clinicians and business people commonly experience.
